Things get under way on Good Friday (25 March) when we move to our summer opening hours of 9.30am until 6pm giving visitors an extra hour to explore the castle and enjoy the epic views of the surrounding countryside for a little longer.

On Friday 25 and Monday 28 March we’ll be serving a lovely Easter afternoon tea in the stunning surrounds of the Great Hall.  Our pop up café is open both days from 12pm-4pm.  No booking required.  First come first served.  Check out our delicious Scottish-inspired menu.

On Saturday 26 and Sunday 27 March the real shenanigans gets under way with Festival of Foolery where you can learn the tricks of the trade at our Fool School, try your hand at renaissance games and get up close with our puppets include Hamish the Highlander, Pickles the Bear and a life size dragon that needs your help to come to life!

And if you still have any energy left after all that we’ll have plenty of family fun to keep you occupied over the Easter holidays including Art of Design and History Hunters.
